A small room, a laser, a printer, and a habit of making peculiar things.
Hello — I’m Gab. Gabs Peculiars is what happens when tinkering gets out of hand. It started with a laser bought “for one project” and a printer bought “just to see”, and now there is a bench, a wall of offcuts, and a shop.
I make small things: pendants, rings, tags, coasters, little signs, the odd miniature tool. Most are made in short runs; some are one-offs; many can carry your own words. Everything is cut, printed and finished here, by me, one at a time.

How a piece gets made

Draw
Everything starts as a line drawing — a pendant outline, a ring profile, the exact letters you asked for. I lay it out for the material and check it twice.

Cut or print
Wood and acrylic go on the laser: it cuts the shape and engraves the detail in one pass, leaving a faint scorched edge I rather like. The odder shapes are printed slowly on a small FDM printer.

Finish
Edges sanded, wood oiled, acrylic flame-polished, prints smoothed. Findings fitted. Then it sits on the bench overnight before I'll post it.
Tools

Materials
- Walnut, cherry, oak and beech — mostly offcuts and veneers, all from UK suppliers.
- Cast acrylic in frosted clear, smoke and amber.
- PLA and resin for printing; brass and sterling silver findings; waxed cotton cord.
- Food-safe oils and waxes for anything that touches a cup.
